So we have been looking at the calendar and in January 2019, TSATF will celebrate its 40th anniversary. This will be cause for a 40th anniversary edition of the rules as well as some other "specials" we haven't quite decided upon as yet. Many things have happened, in life and the hobby, in the years since TSATF/20th was published and we will be incorporating some of the things you've shared with us regarding TSATF. Dad was adamant about never having an "empty" game table and always had troops on display for gaming and/or painting. Christy and I have decided it's time to get the troops back out so in our run-up to TSATF/40, the Brom sisters are going to be playing an on-going game of TSATF. We haven't decided yet on NWF or African Exploration but we're looking forward to becoming "The Ladies Who Wargame". And we'll hopefully have some worthwhile AAR's for our website. Thanks again for everyone's support for our rules. It's sometimes mind-boggling to realize it's been 40 years and TSATF is still going strong. |

Outstanding! I'm really looking forward to the 40th Annivasarrry edition as well as the other surprises!!!! What a great idea. A full game table is a happy game table. Nothing motivates more than an awesome set up. Cheers, JB |

MAN! Like you, Lori, I can't wrap my head around that either. I bought em in 1979, from Yaquinto. I still play & thoroughly enjoy them to this day! I can't say that about any other set of rules, or any other thing much in general! I was reading your post & told my wife about playing with/in one of your Dad's games at H-Con in 1998. A question came up & your Dad said something like "Yeah, that's what the rules say now, but in the new 20th Anniversary Edition, I've changed that rule". I was like, A 20th ANN ED??? Cool! I can't wait! I bought them the next year at H-Con, I think. If not sooner. I know I got em as soon as I could! And now…. Wow, time. It really, really, does fly! I can't wait for the 40th Anniversary Edition! Thanks for ALL y'all do & your Dad, did!!! Peter board2deathterrain.com |

Girls: you'll have to play the Chamla Valley scenario. I've played it umpteen times as the Brits, and only once got to the fort in sufficient numbers to claim victory. |
