Does anyone know of anyone who makes Swedes of the Great Northern War (1700-1721) in 54mm, 40mm or 28mm? |

28mm- Ebor, and Warfare,. Both are very good, but my preference is for Ebor. |

In 40mm Drabant does some superb figures – they should be available from Big Andy at Old Glory UK |

Whatever happened to the Musketeer Miniatures Swedes? They were quite good looking: link |

They where bought by footsore miniatures. But have not been sold by them for some time, apparently gone to retooling. But they've been gone so long now, I have doubts they'll ever come back. |

I talked with Footsore at Fall-In and they said the Swedes and Russians will come out on a separate web site early this year. So I would expect something by summer. |

The former range of GNW released by Musketeer miniatures , then by Footsore have been sold by the latter to a company names Wee Wolf Miniatures (In the US?!) which announced the re release of the original range of figures (foot and horse Swedish and Russian + artillery ) that was regretfully incomplete providing only standing figures for the Russians and charging for the Swedes in 2017 together with the new marching poses, Russian grenadiers (missing from the original range) and other commands that should have been released in 2014 but that never were…Wee Wolf Miniatures has a Facebook website only (their web address does not work..) where some of the new figures can be seen… no release date yet as far as I can see. Ebor anyway are the nicest GNW figures available so far, plenty of variations and character, excellent detail , some foot figures with separate heads… a full lot of new cavalry and infantry figures to be released. These is going to be a very comprenhensive range… Nick is dong a great work on Ebor… |

I like Ebor and they are great value for the money. However, I like Warfare much better and the variety of figures is outstanding. There are nearly 100 different Swedish infantry figures, and these are not head swaps. The number of Russian infantry is growing and should soon approach the number of Swedes. No cavalry are yet in production, but I believe that the masters for both Swedes and Russians have been done. The good thing is that both Ebor and Warfare units look fine on the same table, so you can expand the scope of your figures. |

Reiver Castings stand alone at the very top of the 28mm Great Northern Wars market link |

Of all the figures mentioned, and I have all in my collection, I do like the Reiver figures the best…but I do wonder, is there any interest in 40mm GNW? I have been trying to convince Sash and Saber to do a line…anyone interested? |

28mm GNW also done by Wargames Foundry. A limited range, though. |
