To answer the question, not quite that mean.

Not mean, but sometimes … catty.

Yes that mean. All in our group will run you down & grind you into dust. You quickly learn what not to do or you lose. A lesson I have yet to fully learn.

Sportsman like but all play hard but fair. No fun in a half hearted game. Better to lose in a good, hard faought game than to win in a bad lackluster game. Its about the story not the end result.

I don't believe in playing hard. It's a game. If an opponent is so hot to win like Ush-Cha says I'll give him the game. It's not about the story or the end result. It's about friendship and good times and enjoying yourself. Besides, in any game with dice there's no real skill involved. Opponents with a killer instinct tend to be very unpleasant people and more often than not-- cheaters.

Life offers enough take-no-prisoners hardness. I don't need it in my hobby.

Better to make a friend than win a game.

Otto. If everyone in your group plays like you, at the end of the game with everyone trying their darndest to throw the game, what is the end result?
Surely, SOMEONE must feel the need to put some effort into the thing.
