Well, I've bought the plastic mounted knights but the only suitable transfers would give me unit after unit of Knights of various Holy Orders. Either that or individual single figure transfers that cost twice as much as the figure itself. I see there are mixed transfers for sargeants shields but not for the knights themselves.

As a Scot my ideal would be to do the knights of King Alexander III or King John and I see suitable transfers are available for other figures from Citadel 6 but again at a horrendous cost per figure. Why does no transfer manufacturer just assume we can paint the coat colour ourselves and give is about 8 each of a variety of common heraldic symbols to put on top (for shield, front and back, four for horse and a spare for the inevitablke cock-up = 8). Various colours of lions, horizontal bars for chiefs etc, vertical stripes and piles in various colours, 3 sheaves in yellow (much needed by me) swans, crosses, etc.?

Have you looked at Veni Vidi Vici decals? They do heraldric devices in a number of colors. Get 15mm AND 25mm so you can do quartered blazons as well. They don't do labels or bars, but you could probably do something with colored decal paper cut into strips with a ruler.

Damon.

Years ago Armory did a sheet of decals that were just the heraldic devices in solid colors. You might be able to still find some still.
