So the convention is over, but in my OCD world I need to complete the build blog, then I'll post game pics.

So real quick here we go:

Basswood, foamcore and dowels equals dock

oops forgot the Popsicle sticks.

12:21 am Thursday, I got one coat of paint on.

Alan and I do the ice out of foamcore, and Lou finishes the ships. This is in the convention center Friday Morning. Game at 7pm.

picture

Ships done, now need to be fitted into the ice. About 1pm.

Done and table setup has begun. This is the Brigantine.

And this is the Frigate. The ships and the harbor were a big hit. Thanks to Firelock Games.

picture

Bigger shot of the whole harbor. DOH! forgot to turn the lighthouse on.

Ok that's it for now. I'm still wading through about a 1000 emails that came in while I was playing with toy soldiers. I'll post the rest of the FG pics later and Eylau too.

Thanks for all the kind comments from people who stopped by my table.

Cheers,
Xin/Jeff

Looks great! How did the game go? At first glance I'd say that table needs more scatter terrain to give a true Frostgrave experience. But it's gorgeous all the same!!

There was plenty of close confined quarters and alleyways on the city side of the table. I believe the ships has objective markers on them and would have been a daunting task to cross that open ground to get. Treasures very risky to go after! As always, it was a visually spectacular gaming table and looked very conducive to a good game of Frostgrave.

Really nice! Love the ice effects especially, and so easy to do with foamcore.

Great work!

I saw the setup at CW. It was one beautiful board! Really excellent work!

Very inspirational table! I particularly like the idea of the broken ice in the harbor. Looks great!
