Oooh! Must paint more tanks….. Anzio will likely be all assembled by this evening and heading to the painting table this week. Count, Viggen, Viking Fisheries, and Yogurt High Schools are each nearly all asembled. |

If I let UTube run on its own, in short order this favorite will start playing: YouTube link ^,^ For best plot and character development sequence: watch the original series episodes 1-12, then the OVA Anzio Battle, then Der Film. link |

Girls und Panzer is a Japanese animated TV series in which tank battles are a school sport. The show follows a misfit girls high school team. It is getting 6 new movies. |

I wonder if anyone has converted Battlefront Tanks rules to play Girls Und Panzer |
miniMo | 19 Mar 2017 7:16 p.m. PST |
Twig66 has done up very nice homebrew rules that captures the flavour of the show very well! Links to the rules docs are about 1/3 down the first page of this thread, in the post with the picture of Anzio's tanks stored in a pizza box. TMP link |

As Finale ends with an e, surely it's die Finale! |

The GuP writers are good at what they do, Finale is indeed neuter in German. |

Girls und Panzer does start from a pretty silly idea, until you remember that part of the proper upbringing of an upper-class lady is use of a naginata (Japanese pole-arm, basically a katana blade on the end of a 6ft staff)! The premise for GuP is that a proper upper-class lady will know how to operate a tank (as opposed to the classic naginata). |

I think GuP is pretty much the textbook definition for the Rule of Cool. |

@Lion in the Stars: modern Naginata is so choreographed (it's always performed by a pair) I doubt it would even count towards martial arts anymore. In GuP's universe upper class ladies race around in Carden Loyd tankettes or doing horse archery shows with FT-17s. |
