How did the french double team their artillery at Dresden. By this I mean how much of the artillery was double teamed and where did the horses come from.

How much I don't know, but the horse artillery companies probably had priority.

The horses probably came from the supply train and other units who had horses and from the city itself among the civilian population.

Just a guess, mind, but that seems to me to be the best guess without evidence to support it.

Pulling power per pair of team horses would not necessarily double by doubling the number of pairs:

I would be interested in an expert view of what effect the double teams would have on waterlogged ground, such as that existing at Dresden in 1813.
