Not really, but taking photos of my minis was seemingly more enjoyable when I was using my Mavica and storing the shots on a 3.5 inch floppy. The photos looked like the mini I held in my hand. Now with my megapixel iphone I take a picture and load it onto my computer and go "OMG I have got to touch up that and that and that". Then when I move to the paint desk I am squinting to find the flaws that were so glaring in the photo. Oh well consider this a
moment. AND GET OFF MY LAWN! |

Is a Mavica like a Box Brownie? |

My super-duper smart camera which does everything except make toast can also take pictures in 640x480. |

I experienced this the other day as one of my 2017 goals is to paint up all the figs in my Space Hulk game. I showed a few of them to my gaming group who were amazed, but when I sent some images to another friend off of my iPhone it looked like I didn't even know how to paint! |

Poke around in your phone's camera settings, you might be able to change the resolution. Look for "dark ages". But 640x480 will probably be easier to find. Oh, and I'm gitt'in off yer lawn! |

Been saying for years that the digital camera is the harshest painting critic around. |

My minis which I think look good in real life look terrible in photos, and my minis that photograph well look terrible in real life. And I just hate this newfangled way of painting minis that is "just for the camera"; you know the kind I mean! Back in the day when you wanted to show off your mini you had to take the horse and carriage to the next nearest town on market day, you had to… |

Horse and carriage! LUXURY! We had to hook the young 'uns to the two wheel cart! Used an Atari 2600 cartridge dangling in front of them to get them to go. |

You could also downsize the images. |

You were lucky to have images 😜 I have a Bridge SLR but for figures I find the iPhone camera is OK. I keep meaning to get a selfie stick phone holder that will mount on a tripod. |
