I have finally completed my first unit of Horse for my Lace Wars project. I think that they turned out rather well but I might just avoid white coats from now on.

Thanks Col Campbell but….

It is just that the white coats require almost as much painting time as the rest of the figure (including the horse) and I am still not happy with them. I'm going to stick with blues, grays and reds for the time being. It just so much faster and I have a very limited amount of hobby time :(

I like them, a lot…. I've noticed since the return of this small selection of plastic WSS figs quite a few have been hitting the paint tables.

I hope that the rest of the old WSS series get back into production, some of the ancient figures were exquisitely detailed. The Warlord price-gouge is hateful, 1/3 fewer figures and 20% higher price is just wrong. I won't be buying but one more box of foot (for sappers and other specialist troops)
