Because it's such a pleasant surprise when, once in a while, my character survives a game and still has some SAN points. I kind of like role-playing insanity. There are a couple of people I worked for long ago that I use as a basis for an insane character. |

As the Game Master, if the players push for more description, you can always say "The Thing cannot be described – there is no language for such abysms of shrieking and immemorial lunacy, such eldritch contradictions of all matter, force, and cosmic order." |
