300 Blackout is a neat cartridge; it behaves a lot better in short PDW barrels than 5.56, and with a lot less muzzle blast. It is also very amenable to use with a suppressor. This system will likely fill a role similar to that of a suppressed MP5, albeit with the ability to swap from quiet subsonics to full-power supersonics comparable to .30-30 or 7.62x39 simply by changing magazines. |

Be faster to carry a 5.56mm upper along with the 300BLK upper, since you'd just pop two pins and drop the new upper in place. While it does mean that you'd want two sets of optics (which can be the expensive part of the weapon), you'd have to re-zero your optics if you swapped optics over to the new upper or if you just swapped barrels. |
