"No one really knows where the Veer-Myn came from. They appeared as the GCPS colonised distant planets, crawling into the recesses of spaceships and settlements. Aside from the occasional piece of missing equipment or breakdown, there didn't seem to be a downside to the stowaways. In recent times, however, this has changed. As if spurred on by a larger motive, Veer-Myn nests everywhere have burst to life, re-purposing stolen technology and using their own, twisted science to create monstrous creatures. Colonies and ships have come under attack, subject to critical system failures and sabotage before being consumed by tides of screeching warriors.
