Taken from full post here: link

Here is the first of 2 Undead armies converging on Bree.
We have some old school Black Riders from Citadel and Grenadier.
Along with a nice new Necromancer from Reaper.
The zombies are Mantic plastics.
But I will be adding auxilliary metal regiments from Rafm & Harlequin.
I already have a decent chunk of Citadel metal skellies, so my painted Undead army is coming along quite nicely.

The moaning battle cry of Brrraaaiiiinnnnsss can be heard along the eastern roads of Bree.
Zombies are on the march!

This Mounted Wraith is vintage 80s Citadel Lord of the Rings.
His code is: ME-64 Black Rider – Ringwraith
Its nice to have some respectable old metal figures to lead these new fangled plastics.

This fellow is Domus the Necromancer.
He is part of the 25th Anniversary of Reaper that is taking place this year.
Lovely, lovely figure that just oozes old school charm!
He reminds me of vintage Grenadier D&D wizards.

Nice to see the flag advanced still.

Those Mantics are very nice indeed, and I have the Black Knights too.

Crazyivanov,

Yes, the flag is advancing albeit slowly.
Battle reports will be late April, maybe May.

Plenty more troop build-ups coming to the blog first.

There will be one more "interesting" human faction coming to reinforce Bree.
Then one more late Forces of Darkness faction as well.

Keep it all coming!!

Just out of curiosity- what rules have you been using for your games?
I believe I once read in one of your posts what you've been using, but could not find the comment.
Thanks!

Capt Flash,

Right now its 7th edition with rules and stats from any army book, any edition. Although Id rather like to think Im using 1st with my favorite parts of 6th/7th tacked on. Yeah, thats the ticket!

Capt Flash16 Mar 2017 11:27 a.m. PST

Lol good deal! I prefer 6th edition but I may just go ahead and do a mix of different bits from the other versions.

OH NOES, Gandalf got zombified!

Seriously, the miniatures look great. Thanks for sharing.
