I feel like an idiot, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what Fatigue actually does. It doesn't seem to be a factor on any of the various tables, unless I am incredibly oblivious and somehow reading right past it. Can anyone assist? |

It affects the players and reduces their comprehension. :) |

In the close action calculations for every 2 fatigue and disorganization points and/or casualties the unit takes a -1. |

It makes you tired and out of sorts. |

It causes you to break out "Charge!" instead. |

Its a way of degrading your units to simulate fatigue, it does keep cavalry from charging endlessly.Starting out didn't bother but relized for the cavalry at the least it is a good rule. In melee it is a factor to add (actually subtracts) in calculating final ACE rating. |

It makes sense now yeah, I guess I just expected it to factor in elsewhere as well, since it's talked up quite a bit in the rules. |

It's Empire Math. I play Empire V. Well, I move my units and let the GM who actually enjoys Empire Math figure it out. It's more fun that way. |

I never found reference to infantry suffering fatique points thought there is a chapter on rallying and recovering FPs! Cavalry get three points when they charge (at the end of the impulse). Therefore after they have charged twice they need to rally. For Infantry I use the Fatigue rules in Empire V plus an extra FP if a unit breaks in bad morale. Having got a copy of RxE I'm play with idea of using the Artillery and Small Arms fire tables. However on more than one occasion I've fired Artillery at close range and not make a single kill !!! Alternatively I've almost wiped out a unit! Seems the element of luck is too strong? |
