Saturday 12/3/17 saw the Element Games launch event for Flames of War in Stockport link We got a few 1200 point games in, probably got more rules wrong than right. I have since had some time to look at the EW/LW rules and have included that in the report.

Had a launch get-together st Game Time Miniatures in Milford,OH on Saturday. It was quite cool. Even got to play FoW ;Borrowed a Finnish force, and went up against some LW Germans. Got a few licks in towards the end with my remaining anti-tank gun(destroying 3 vehicles at the objective, forcing 1 to run,but the one remnant(Force XO vehicle)stayed at the target objective, thus I got dropped. Then,I did some Team Yankee. I had a 60 pt. Soviet force, and my opponent,a 60 pt Bundeswehr force. Came down at the end,to a timely remount die roll by the W. Germans to hold the objective I was about to take,c/o a flanking move by my motor rifle troops, having forced a bailout of some IFVs. I was down to 4 T-72's,including the KomBat,one lit out and the other 5 got destroyed. I did some serious damage to the W. German force, taking out a good number of Leopards and a few other vehicles. Quite a day. Dude I played thought I did quite well, despite my loss. |
