Simple request. Who makes nice 28mm Sassanids?

Gripping Beast makes some decent ones but the best ones out there are A&A Miniatures. Gorgeous figures, second to none.

Who's the sculptor on those, Pictors? They are really nice.

Old Glory also does a range:

As does Aventine:

Essex Miniatures also has a small range:

There are others as well, maybe do a search on TMP and see what comes up?

Recommend a mix of Aventine and A&A. Same sculptor, great sculpts, reasonable price. Paint up lovely

I have an army of A&A Sassanids. I wish I could paint them over again. They are really nice.

I have a couple of units of Aventine eastern Sassanids. Here is a link to them on my blog:

You can follow the links from the categories to see more of both. I believe the A&A ones are more oriented towards the earlier part of the Sassanid period and the Aventine ones the latter part.

I would go with a mix of those.

At Historicon a few years ago a guy had a beautifully painted army of Sassanids from Old Glory.

You are really spoiled for choice these days when it comes to doing Sassanids in 28s.

What do people think about the Aventine Miniatures Sassanid figures? I'm new to this era and thought they looked pretty cool, but not sure about the helmets they are wearing, not like what everybody else is wearing.

Aventine's Sassanids are really superb, you won't any better Sassanids figures in 28mm.
