Great flick.

My favourite scene is when Harvey Keitel sees Carradine, points to his cuffs to show he has been promoted, so that they can fight again.

Or when his doctor friends tell him "duels of nations takes precedence"

General Fournier was born and raised in Sarlat, SW France and is quite a local legend – the painting you see in the link is in the town hall. His house when he was a general is still intact, with is wide gate high and wide enough to take coachs and horses, as is the inn where he was born. The local cemetry has a monument to him.
I have a house nearby.
