i would give 2HW swordplay a shot. also Ganesha's Songs of blades and heros. both would give the tools to create the period in scenarios and are damn fun games to boot. |

There is "Of All Base Passions" which is a mod for Sharp Practice. It is available in their 2013 Summer Special. |

I'll second Song of Blades and Heroes. Easy to tailor to your specific needs. |

Lion Rampant- not the best, but the one that has gotten figures onto the table, and a game in an evening. |

To clarify the distinction between Song of Blades and Heroes, and Lion Rampant… SBH is individual figures, usually under 10 total per side. Lots of skills to custom tailor your figures skills. Lion rampant is large skirmish with units. Most infantry units are 12 figures, all cavalry units are 6 figures. Usually 4-7 units per side, so much larger than SBH. Each unit type has a few special rules and upgrades, but armies can feel kind of same-y with only 10 unit types |

My skirmish rules are free. They offer a very fluid "skirmishy" feel. link Don't worry about the scale of the figures. It doesn't seem to matter. |

Has anyone tried Open Combat? Small skirmish, with a RPG feel to it for those that don't know. |
