I am continuing to flesh out the background campaign for my 3mm modern miniatures. So far I have the Kingdom of Aksum and the Gambella Republic. I've posted on Aksum before but now I introduce the military insignia for the Gambella People's Defense Forces, both land and air.

More can be found on my campaign page: 3mm Modern Campaign These small imagi-nations will take the place of my old 6mm Republic of Prussia. I'm not saying Prussia is gone for good just that I'm done with it for now.

They look very cool.

Interesting.
Rank insignia isn't way over the top, implying Gambella is actually a sort of republic, not a dictatorship run by some fruit loop like Idi Amin, who has all the fancy, shiny baubles he can think of as part of the uniform.

I assume you're not painting these in 3mm?

But of course. No, I made them for fun only. I have always admired military uniforms. It's why I joined the Marines out of school.

Oh and for those that are curious I used the insignia of the Chadian Army as my template.
