what is out there in 6mm or smaller for hougoumont? I am planning a refight of Waterloo for June and I need some building. 3mm would work if there is anything as I use bases to mark the farms. thank you |

Have a look at Irregular's terrain items. They do both 2mm and 6mm so you should be able to find bits that would work. |

I agree, Irregular have a nice version with a small footprint. You want a small footprint because otherwise the models will be too big for a non-skirmish game. Even TBM have a nice model. Irregular…

Total Battle Miniatures does as well in 6mm: link Supreme Littleness Designs is supposed to have 3mm MDF versions available someday, but it's been a long while they're supposed to have been available someday. Perhaps someone else nudging the owner would help, I'm interested in them too! link |

A lot will depend on the level of game as this will determine the size of footprint for each building which you can work with. If you are doing the entire battle on a reasonably sized table, I woulld be inclined ro go for the TBM model as it has a resticted footprint: 140x115mm. Of course, their models are wonderfully made, which is another reason to buy from them. The IM model also looks good. Leven Miniatures also does a model but unless you are playing on a very large table or are interested in just that sector of the battle, it is too large, in my opinion: 295x210mm. Of course, this is not to detract from the excellent quality of the Leven products, of which I own quite a number. Miniature Wargames do/did (?) a free download to do a cardstock model with a reduced footprint but it looked horribly complicated to build and I have not even attempted it yet (I struggled for quite a while with the simpler La Haye Sainte model). |

thanks a lot for the excellent suggestions. Really beautiful models. (nice website Keith) I will go with the smallest footprint which is irregular miniatures. |

Now I might be wrong, but I think the TBM model might be the smallest model if the gardens are included. The dimensions for it include the garden and seem to be smaller than the dimensions on the IM site for the chateau + gardens. |

I bought the Irregular one a few years ago. One of the worst castings I have ever seen. Huge chunks of metal where the molds came together, lumpy, just awful. Complained via email but never heard back. Its still around here somewhere…. |

Yes, Irregular can indeed be "irregular"! I would be inclined to go for TBM. |
