Greetings, all. In 'NOTES ON SOME MILITARY CALLS By Captain C. R. Day Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry'-
a rather outdated article from 1934 which can be found here: link there is a reference to "the Rules and Articles, &c., of George I in 1718" Can anyone advise me as to what this document Imight be and where I might possibly find it find access to it? Many thanks |

Possibly it's the "rules and articles for the better government of the land forces" referred to at link At link is the 1749 version, can't immediately find 1718 online. |

I'd hoped that this was about an aspect of 18th Century wargaming I hadn't known about it. But I suppose it was the Game of Kings after all…. |

Uh, the work is about military calls with drum and other instruments, not military rules and articles. "rules and articles for the better government of the land forces" has nothing on the use of 'calls'. |
