Last year I visited Firenze, Italy. There was a small but nice exhibition about the War in the Alps during World War I.
Maybe some of you are interested in my report and the pictures.
For wargamers and miniature collectors you will see uniforms, weapons and so on.
Report in german and english.

Excellent post. My gross-oncle Georg served with the King-Emperor's army on this front, laying telephone cables so the story goes, and somehow winning the odd medal or two along the way. The Austro-Hungarian King-Emperor, just in case I wasn't clear.
