Soldiers do try and look their best on all occasions. ;-)

I remember watching that miniseries when it came out in 1984 and thought it quite good. I was on my first tour at Camp Lejeune.

That was the year I was married.

I especially enjoyed the command, 'Play Yankee Doodle.'

And that was the second British army that surrendered during the war to the Continental Army, this time with the French allies.

I really enjoyed the George Washington mini-series when I first saw it. It isn't perfect, but it is still very good in many ways. I believe the people who made it tried to get things right as best as they could, even if they were operating with limited resources.

The British were just rubbish, weren't they? They should have stuck to fighting the French and Indians.
