Allow me to share with you some photos of a play (played with the house rules) with some people of our players' circle.

We replayed the battle of Sacile, which took place on April 16th, 1809, between 40 000 Austrians under the orders of the Archduke Jean, and 36 000 French people and Italians commanded(ordered) by Prince Eugène de Beauharnais, viceroy of Italy.

Superb.

Your house rules nail at least one thing, with Cav, Guns (and skirmisher?) at two stands per unit and infantry at four, you can recreate a large battle and still retain the massed look of a Napoleonic battle.

Feel free to tell us anything else about your rules.

@ evilgong

Yes it is the advantage of this rule.
She allows to reproduce the effect of mass of the Napoleonic battles.
I think that we found also a good balance in term of playability after 3 years of play-test.
