So I know we are in the age of Bolt Action and Chain of Command, but with out disregarding how much fun those games are I wanted to post a review for Victory Decsion, a set of rules for platoon level actions that has been around for a while but that I had not fully tried until recently. There is always someone, like me, that still had not found BA or CoC to be his cup of tea, and if you are in that group then maybe you might find something you like in ViDe … I'm doing a bit of crossposting because I've been using all the versions of these rules, WWII, gear Krieg for W-WWII, and Future Combat for Sci Fi games or modern/recent times. Here is my review for anyone who might be interested.. and if not.. hey .. you can just look at pictures ( we all do that sometimes :) ) … link

I really enjoy the Victory Decision WWII rules. I particularly like the way that initiative is determined. It is a very engaging process (and can be a bit frustrating) that embraces randomness and troop quality. I have and will play BA, but Victory Decision is more to my liking. Great look gaming – here is a link to our Victory Decision games: link link |

Same thing here.. and also like how the game works when you use hide, infiltrate and take cover.. it becomes very positional .. something I have liked since StarGrunt II The great author's support doesn't hurt either… |

Interesting. I have them but haven't ever got round to playing them: this will encourage me to do so. Thanks! And lovely pictures too. |

Thanks… I had them for a long time too cause I didn't like them on my first try. After paying attention to the subtle details of the take cover and hide actions which totally changed the game for me… ! |
