I recently completed my first order from Gaming Models so thought would share with fellow enthusiasts here. I first went to the website ( gamodls.com/index.html ) as I needed several Dovunque 35 Italian trucks without the cargo cover molded on. Also was curious on their gliders as myself and a friend have several Crete scenarios in mind.

Ordering. First order but things went very smoothly. I picked out the models, 4 trucks and 4 gliders. Seemed like a good chance to look at other models as well so picked out one each of the Crusader III, Sherman with sand shields in place and a Grant ( came to 11 models so one of the tanks was free ) . Got a very prompt, and nice note back from Craig assuring me I got the order right. Once I confirmed he sent the PayPal request. Very easy.

Shipping and packing. The website clearly states all models are cast when ordered and to allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. I only start the clock on an order like this when I actually pay. From payment to receipt was 3 weeks, color me happy. Color me thrilled with his packing! I was especially curious how the gliders would fair as one piece casting and LONG wing span. Craig custom cut foam to fit all the models and the entire order came through without a scratch.

Models. I like that I could order pre-primed. Since I have several models it is easier for me to match the paint scheme. First let me comment on the DFS-230's. WOW! I was literally blown away and at $6 USD each a steal. I was a bit worried about the truck wheels and suspensions on the tanks. Some photos I have seen of the models, as well as some on the site, seem to show a rather rudimentary suspension/wheels. I need not have worried. I found all cleanly cast and very distinct. Given these were two part models ( tank body and tank turret separate, truck body and truck tarp separate ) I was impressed by the amount of detail actually.

Bottom line. Craig gets an A+ as one of the good guys in our hobby. Ordering was easy. Shipping right on the nose. Packing extraordinary. Quality good. Certainly war game good but certainly a step above on those gliders!

Agreed. Got my first order a few weeks ago. Great product, great price, great service!

Some of his models are better quality than others. I think that Craig has been re-doing some of the rougher looking models. They are affordably priced and come assembled and table-ready. That makes them desirable to many gamers.

I have ordered from Craig at Gaming Models maybe 4 or 5 times. I always order unpainted so I can paint the stuff to match my existing stuff. I have never had a problem with any of the orders, nothing missing, all well packed and nothing broken.

One order was for a bunch of landing craft, DUKWs and some amphibious Shermans for a Normandy game. I kept the boxes and custom cut packaging to store the models in. (I guess you can say I've got my DUKWs in a row.)

I too have been very pleased with service and products. Hoping to place two more orders this year.

If I get back into 15mm gaming I will go with GM for everything I can. The only negative is the use of resin for long barrel guns – they WILL break no matter how much TLC they get. On the plus side it is easy enough to replace them with wire tubing when needed.

I can also say the packaging is top notch. Delivery for the orders I placed was within a few weeks too.

Agreed. Not only nice models, but Craig is one of the nicest guys around to deal with. I plan on buying more soon.
