We have a huge furnished basement which has my office, book shelves, gaming table and the playstation 3 and 4.

Our gaming club has been in the basement of the same house for decades. We occasionally play upstairs when we don't want to clean up one of normal gaming tables.

Occasionally. Most of my gaming though is done in my living room which is 17 ft by 36 ft with floor to cathedral ceiling windows on three sides of the house. in the house I am building in Maine the living room is the same size, but I will be gaming in the above-ground basement(it's on an above ground slab. the house is 32 ft by 48 ft, and the basement is divided into two parts with a 22 ft by 32 ft hobby room With many windows.

I do now that we have one. Before I had windows and sunshine and birdies singing. Now none of that.

I take temporary possession of the dining room because the basement is too dark.

Yes have a nice heated hobby room in the basement for gaming where I also store my figures and terrain, however I paint upstairs in a closet like paint station that has doors to hide the mess because my wife said she would never see me if painted in my hobby room as well.

No basement here. Two of our club members have basements that are frequently used for gaming nights though.

However, I do have the common Chicago arrangement of a multistory porch that was enclosed in the distant past. It serves the catch-all storage funciton of a basement. Makes a great place to store all my terrain and terrain buliding supplies.

Ever since the attic became library and kids play area I have to lay my wargame table panels over the dinning table. At least it means that drinks and snacks are close at hand.
