My weekly offering. I have always been fascinated by this subject since I first heard the Jeff Wayne album and played the old Rage Software PC game. Now with the recent BBC docudrama, I simply couldn't resist.

I've bought Jeff Wayne's WoW in vinyl, 8 track and CD. It's an excellent album!

Don't forget the two novels (more coming!) that go with the game!

What is Wayne's album? An audio book like the Orson Wells drama aired in the US or a musical album?

Great little docudrama that mixed the WWI footage with computer generated graphics.

Has the miniatures line been taken over by someone else? Last I heard, the mini company that produced AQMF went bankrupt…

Yes, the minis are available again from quietmartianfront.com

Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds album is more like an operetta. And I agree, it is a very favorite of mine. YouTube has the stage production he did also and that was also just great seeing how they created all the sounds and which musical instrument was used for it.

Good to see the minis back in production. They had some great looking Martians.
