Looks very impressive. Odd that with all the photos of the unassembled pieces, there's not one of the finished model. Still, I love the Star Destroyer. I would watch the opening of Star Wars over and over just to see the SD!

Box says 1/2700 scale. Wonder what the actual size of the model is. I have seen quite a range of actual model sizes all claiming to be the same scale.

Roughly two feet long…

Assuming this link works – a slightly altered build of the kit:

A re-branded version of this kit will be sold by Revell later this year so it will be much easier to find and probably at a better price. This will be in addition to the current smaller scale Star Destroyer that Revell is currently selling.

Someone needs to do a super star destroyer in a scale for Star Wars Armada :)

Did Zvezda actually obtain the Star Wars license or are they distributing Revell in Russia under the Zvezda brand? Being Russia, I wouldn't be surprised if this IP infringement but Disney wouldn't have a shot in Russian courts. I do know that model companies distribute other companies' products under their name, like back when General Mills was the US distributor for Airfix under the MPC name.

Glad you like it too my friend.

TheStarRanger, the "better price" of course depends where you are geographically located.

I've seen one on Shapeways – a mere 65cm long, but cheaper than a forge world titan!

Assuming a 1600m long SD the model should be around 590 mm (as opposed to ~6m for 1/270 scale one). From pics I've seen its pretty good looking, though its a bit pricey for me, more one for the dedicated model maker I think.

I too wondered about the licensing when I first saw this promo'ed, but if Revell are picking it up someone must stumping up the license fee! I have Revell's smaller offering – its not a great model, but the price point is okay and it would look okay on the table.

For all your 1/2700 gaming needs.

Zvezda has the rights to do some Star Wars kits for that general region (eastern Europe/Russia) and I believe that's all. Revell has already done business with Zvezda in the past – reissuing a kit to Europe and/or US and Canada markets.

Now – this kit does have a few faults (is there any model that's perfect?!?). The bridge is aligned to the trench of the main hull, it should be aligned with the rest of the superstructure, the bridge looks a little bit big and the deflector domes have those odd hexagon things under them – not on the filming model.

There are some other issues but, most are minor and easily fixed. Despite the few warts, it's FAR nicer than the old MPC junker from ancient times.
