I've seen a couple Zvezda 1/100 kits and I was wondering how they compare to PSC? I'm not going to mix and match, but I'm wondering how much they differ on size when on the table?

I don't have an identical vehicle in both but the ones I have are pretty much spot on size wise.

Thanks

Just wanted to confirm what I thought. I think Zvezda kits will be fine on the table for the 1's I need here and there.

the M3 fro Zvesda and the Stuart I have from PSC don't match at all. Zvesda's are much smaller.

I'm not going to mix vehicles, but I thought of mixing brands. I don't need 5 IS-2's so 1 or 2 Zvezda's will do and I save $12 USD+

Yes, that'd work. I bought Tigers II from Zvesda for the same reason as you.

Generally speaking I find that Zvezda models are much "plainer" – you get much more and nicer detail from PSC. Size wise they match fairly well in my experience.

You can order individual sprues from PSC, a decent option.

I use both. I tend to buy all of one vehicle from the same company, but I did wind up with some Zvezda Pz.III shipped to me by mistake, and they match nicely size-wie with PSC. And I have a few Zvezda Pz.IV which match nicely with PSC too.

I buy PSC first if they have the kit, because all of the extra bits they put on the sprue are very handy for detailing many other models too!

A lot of my stuff is a mix of Zvezda and PSC. They mix fine (and also mix fine with QRF and PP in most cases).

The real disaster is Skytrex, which is tiny in comparison, but that is true of all their stuff as most of it is 1/106th (apart from the Brenner carriers!)

Quality Casting (Old Glory 15's) are the 1/106 ones. I do buy Japanese tanks from QC, they're tiny anyway and look just fine.

I find Skytrex fits in fine with all the others (they tend to be somewhat better cast than the same models from Old Glory's (25) Command Decision line (OG 25 runs their molds into gravel and never replaces them). The Skytrex Hetzer for instance, lines up nicely with Zvezda's 38(t).

QRF also mixes well, though super spindly gun barrels that need to be replaced with wire, got my Polish tanks from them.

Gaming Models are inexpensive and plain, but mix in fine.

My absolute last resort is Battle Front, The road wheels are too large and the treads over-thick , they stand quite taller than any counterpart
