Does anyone make rules covering Partisans? How about 28mm minis? Looking beyond the standard French and Russian. Would like those minis but also Philipinos, especially with some USA and USN figures who joined rather than surrender. Also Yugoslavian. And others. Also of interest would be police type troops that fought them. I know FoW used to make some in 15mm but does any know a source for 28mm minis and rules? Thanks!

For irregular troops, and asymmetric war, Ambush Alley and Force on Force are excellent.

Warlod has 24 different Eastern and Western Partisans in the Bolt Action range. Artizan as a few in their Thrilling Adventures range, also Old Glory (Westwind). For Philipinos, maybe look at Brigade Games.

Black Tree Design has some in their WW2 Soviet range, too.

If you are still in the planning stages, you may want to look at 20mm. Platoon 20 has both Partisans and Police. Britannia has a large assortment of Partisans and Warsaw Ghetto fighters. Try Googling the terms, and see what pops up.

Second Ambush Alley. Also Combat Patrol has a supplement for partisans that is a free download called Winter of Discontent.

I recommend Arc of Fire, troop types can be altered to suit the variable qualities of irregular forces and occupation/police units……
