Thought I`d post all the figures I`ve painted for the Spartcaus revolt army… I`m buying seven packs of Strelets Roman Republican and Caesar`s infantry to go up against them! Anyways the photos: The figures for warbands…
Cavalry (Greek & Roman figures used) and sling and bow skirmishers…
Light-armed troops for the hordes and some Javelin skirmishers – quite a few captured legionary shields and eagles – "`ere are these yours Gaius Cassius Longinus Varus?"…
These are the rest of the mob – less well-armed and armoured – scythes, pitchforks, and angry ex-Roman slaves throwing stones – some crazy Thracian or German women in there too!

And heads on sticks! Cool. That's the good thing with a slave rebellion army, no one can say you're wrong. |

Very nice, I've wanted a slave army since I read "The Spartacus War". |

Good stuff! I'm fascinated by how gamers are tackling this conflict, not one of the popular eras maybe, not a classical clash, but full of novel game possibilities. |

Very nice. I have a Spartacus army I built for WAB. This reminds me I have to get some Romans for them to revolt against. |

All Spartacus army figures plus some Roman artillery and skirmishers after varnishing…
Most of the Hordes figures at the first stage of basing with sand and gritted bases…
Spartacus cavalry also sanded and gritted…

Very cool. Those Strelets sets for this time period offer a lot of possibilities. |
