Okay, Second week, here we go:

1) I am no longer even pretending to "Ramp up" or "get in gear". I was officially in gear as of this past week and able to accomplish quite a bit and it will stay at that level for the foreseeable future.

2) Sikh War book Nothing in the way of writing, per se, but I started reading Bancroft's "From Recruit to Staff Sergeant" and am about 40% through; continuing to read Amarinder Singh's book and am about halfway through with it and I joined the "Sikh Military History Forum" on Facebook and learned quite a bit, plus I've met a number of very nice, knowledgeable and helpful members. If interested, just search FB for the above title and feel free to submit for membership.

Oh, almost forgot, I just purchased Amarpal Sindhu's 1st Sikh War title for my Kindle, for bed time reading after I finish Amarinder's book later this week.

3) Wellington in India:Vindaloo I accomplished quite a bit this week, due to RHB's support. Finished reading the rules and spent several hours "red lining" them on Saturday for changes and I should not only be able to start re-writing them, but I think I may be able to finish them this week too, at least the first draft. Moving along quite swiftly on this. Expect concrete results no later than next week!

Related I will ask and I'm pretty sure RHB won't have a problem if we can make this upcoming version of the rules available to the public. I'll let you know when I know.

3) My Novel…the "other project" I mentioned a couple of times now. Well into the third chapter and the nice thing about this effort is that it gets my creative juices flowing since I'm usually up around 4AM and can write for about 1.5 hours before having to take Tink for a walk, etc.; plus it doesn't cut into my "must do work" time from above. I started this project a few months ago and I must admit that it's really helped to get me to knuckle down, plus the plot ain't too terribly bad either.

4) My "in house" peer review of a recent War Diary magazine issue goes into the "outline" phase later this week and will at least be set up to write the following week. Again, looking for a fast completion on this one.

Addendum: I generally wake up during the 4 AM hour and try to work as steadily as I can until about 4:30 PM, subtracting dog walks, dining, household chores and book-keeping during the week and about 2-4 hours on Saturday. Believe it or not I also get a bit of time on Sundays to at least work an hour or two on one of the above, but after that I do take the rest of the day to relax, watch a few movies, play games etc. Monday is turning into my "catch all" day, where I pay bills, do chores, etc., but even on Sunday and Monday I make sure I at least read some pertinent material for at least a few hours daily.

Overall a good week and I'm actually set up for an even better effort to report next Monday.

Stay tuned!

Can we assume that Helion's listing of the Sourcebook with a mid-March 2017 release date is somewhat optimistic then?
