Reading this…

"When I got mad as a kid i'd chew my jumper!

I would take one side of the collar of a v- neck jumper and put it between my teeth. This was done really quickly.

Once chewing on said sweater I would begin to snort and curse. None of anything I said made sense because I had a mouthful of wool. Rage had made me unintelligible too…"

In my case… I went to searching trouble…I could brake some toys… or at the school show bad temper looking for a fight against any other boy of other class (not mine)… even if they were olders…

And you?

I once pulled out a loose tooth with my bare fingers when I was punished.

Most of the time, I'd scream and curse when I got angry as a kid. Come to think of it, I do that now as an adult!

Hold my breath until I got my way. This worked until the doctor told them to just ignore me and I fainted. I was a stubborn toddler but gave that method up.

Usually just stayed angry. I'm now 58……

Generally I would punch someone…

Wackmole927 Feb 2017 7:51 a.m. PST

I would bit my Knuckle. It took several years to get over doing it.

Temper tantrum. Went away around the age of 8.

I would sulk, pout, and generally make everyone around me as miserable as possible.

I either punched someone near to hand or plotted murder and destruction while I raged internally and waited impatiently for my chance to put my vengeful plans into motion. Fortunately, I was too often the coward and thus did not act upon my seething rage, so happily I never crossed the line … at least not yet. I guess that's why I like wargaming; as a distraction and safety-valve from the frustrations of the real world. It allows me to release my inner-sociopath without inflicting collateral damage on the real world around me and thus having to deal with the consequences that such actions might entail.

Cheers and good gaming.
Rod Robertson.

I'm placid & always have been.

Being near the end of a big family (5 sisters, two brothers) teaches you patience.

Indeed, forbearance has been a boon on TMP as a few, not many but a few, of the members take a bit of forgiving.

Hmmm … maybe for you ?

Personal logo ochoin Supporting Member of TMP01 Mar 2017 11:17 p.m. PST

Maybe for everyone. I don't think being bitter & angry pays at any rate.

We'll see … It's worked so far ! huh?

Personal logo ochoin Supporting Member of TMP02 Mar 2017 12:34 p.m. PST

It's worked so far

If you say so…..

I know you like having the last word so I'll let you.

So I'll wrap up with a heartfelt & sympathetic, "Bless you."

Indeed … And remember what board we're on …

grtbrt03 Mar 2017 6:52 a.m. PST

it depended on how old I was and why I was angry -if it was someone at school generally a physical reaction .
" violence may not solve the problem -but it certainly makes you feel better "
Outside school (and the violence part ) after about 8 didn't really get that angry -realization that I had a much better life than almost everyone I knew is a very calming balm .

You wouldn't have liked me when I was angry …

… but that was a long time ago when I was filled with youth and righteous rage. I have changed. I'm not like that anymore …
