Does anyone have any recommendations for board games that deal with WSS? I know about Compass Games "No Peace without Spain". Are there any others either strategic or tactical? |

1714 The Case of the Catalans (2-5 players) link I own both games. The former is great for 2 players, the latter is best with 5.

There are two older games by Moments in History focusing on Marlborough's battles. Both out of print, but reasonably priced on eBay: Fields of Glory (Oudenarde and Malplaquet) auction A Famous Victory (Blenheim and Ramillies) auction |

For those of you interested in computer based games I am help playtest a new game from Ageod, using their standard game engine, for the WSS, which will include an option for the GNW. Although it provides limited opportunities for any tactical gaming it does provide an good simulation of the strategic and operational challenges faced by the Swedes, Danes, Poles and Russians from 1700 through roughly 1716. The WSS game is expected to be released later this year. From recent announcements apparently Ageod has also developed an English Civil War game, which is probably an upgraded variant of their 30 Years War game. |
