link Lieutenant – Seems I'm a good leader and strategist, but too nice to be in the higher ranks. |
princeman | 26 Feb 2017 5:11 p.m. PST |
Me too. Thought it would higher! |

I got general, I am nice as long as you do what I say. |

I got bored with the quiz after 26 questions. I just wanted to charge anything. |
Ragbones | 26 Feb 2017 5:38 p.m. PST |
I made General, too. That was funny. Thanks for posting. |
20thmaine | 26 Feb 2017 5:41 p.m. PST |
Private. And I have to say that quiz offers so many spelling and grammatical mistakes and plain dumb questions that I don't really have much faith in its predictive capability. In reality I am the very model of a modern major-general. |

Grelber | 26 Feb 2017 5:54 p.m. PST |
Lieutenant. Guess I'm lucky to have reached a civil service position that is a major equivalent. Grelber |
Zargon | 26 Feb 2017 6:01 p.m. PST |
I own the army, Koining Graf Von Munchchouzen Gunter der 3rd. My guard units all look pretty, ny soldiers call me Herr Korporal and love me. |
Lascaris | 26 Feb 2017 6:03 p.m. PST |
General. You may all salute me now. |

Private (in RL, made E-5 and passed on the chance to go to OCS). |
Bobgnar | 26 Feb 2017 8:46 p.m. PST |
Just to private. But I got 48 of the 1980s movies correct, and 49 of the 1960s ones (I never did see inside Daisy clover) |
Sundance | 26 Feb 2017 8:58 p.m. PST |
Haha! That was just dumb. I scored private, but in reality, I'm a sergeant first class going for warrant officer. |
tkdguy | 26 Feb 2017 10:40 p.m. PST |
I made it to general in this quiz. In real life, I'd probably stay a private forever. |
Sho Boki | 26 Feb 2017 10:43 p.m. PST |
General, test says. But I am only retired captain. What a waste.. |
Supercilius Maximus | 27 Feb 2017 12:57 a.m. PST |
Well, I never knew "deserter" was an actual rank. |
Bob the Temple Builder | 27 Feb 2017 3:21 a.m. PST |
I was once the only civilian on a committee that was otherwise made up of military officers. The chair – a Major General – was unsure how I fitted into the hierarchy, and asked what 'rank' I was. I explained what I did for a living (I was the equivalent of the deputy headteacher of a school), and he decided that the military equivalent was a Lieutenant Colonel … and that was how I was treated from then on. My maternal grandfather would have been horrified; he was an RSM and had very little time for 'Ruperts'! |
Volleyfire | 27 Feb 2017 3:42 a.m. PST |
General, but only by answering using the bottom answer all along. :-) Mind you I'd have used most of those anyway. Perhaps I should take it again. hmmm. |

Anyone interested in a Medicare-eligible Lieutenant? |
Allen57 | 27 Feb 2017 8:23 a.m. PST |
I was a Lt.Commander (=Army Major) in the Navy. Only made Lt. in the quiz. |
15th Hussar | 27 Feb 2017 8:44 a.m. PST |
How come there is no "Lord High God Commander of the Universe" rank??? |

General too. But they had no admirals. |
Volleyfire | 27 Feb 2017 2:38 p.m. PST |
Tried it again without cheating this time, and still came out as General even though most of my answers were completely different to first time around. Oh well 'shrug'. |
robert piepenbrink | 27 Feb 2017 6:15 p.m. PST |
Private. The USAF thought I was at least worth E-6, and the Army topped me out at E-7. These people have higher standards, I suppose. But NONE of those war movies had John Wayne! Is that even legal? |
15th Hussar | 27 Feb 2017 7:16 p.m. PST |
But NONE of those war movies had John Wayne! Is that even legal? You'd think "They were Expendable" or one of the John Ford US Cavalry Trilogy (Quad if you count Horse Soldiers). would be in the mix. |

Got to question #26 and gave up. |
Rod I Robertson | 27 Feb 2017 9:51 p.m. PST |
I only made private, so the test is clearly flawed. I would be run out of any but the most despicable armed forces in no time flat and if allowed to stay, I would rot it from within. I'm not military material and I buck authority reflexively. I do like hitting things though! Cheers. Rod Robertson. |
Legion 4 | 28 Feb 2017 8:58 a.m. PST |
I was an Infantry, 0-3/CPT, '79-'90 … So I didn't go to the link and take the test … I'm satisfied with that … |
Old Wolfman | 28 Feb 2017 10:03 a.m. PST |
Likely would have flunked the physical. But I tested out as a sergeant, and likely as a drill sergeant. |
COL Scott ret | 28 Feb 2017 11:05 p.m. PST |
My real rank is Colonel U.S.Army, this said Lieutenant…. Good thing the Army has 241 more years of experience choosing leaders than that survey. Fun but few of the answers had choices I would prefer. |
Supercilius Maximus | 01 Mar 2017 1:09 a.m. PST |
Yes. "None of the above" would have been my most common answer, if allowed. |
Khusrau | 01 Mar 2017 4:05 p.m. PST |
Yep, I'm too nice (ha!) – my old civilian service role was Brigadier equivalent according to the Australian Defence Force. Personally I think they rank it low, with Secretary of a Federal Department ranked as a 'General'. |
