My latest blog post is an introduction to the forthcoming release of Test of Honour – more of a frothers guide from someone who is quite looking forward to the release of the game rather than a critical review. It also contains a link to the free PDF set of rules available from warlord games and some of the alternative rules that are available. I hope that you find it useful or at least entertaining.

I did the preorder. Thinking this will be a popular set.

I also indulged in the preorder. Think it will be a easy to learn game with some good replay ability. I think the figures look easy to paint and I prefer the ability to make your own poses and styles. And even if the game is not so great, plenty of other skirmish samurai games out there, but since I've found Warlord game rules (BA, BP, HC, BtGoA)run from good to excellent, this will likely be a winner.

I'm sure most historical (and some fantasy) Samurai figures would be compatible. I'd use mostly the excellent Kingsford Miniatures myself with a smattering of North Star "Ronin" figures. I also bought some "scruffy" Black Hat Miniatures to bulk up my peasants!
