Hi everybody, I would like ear you about that, what are for you the pro /cons of each option. |
79thPA | 23 Feb 2017 7:24 a.m. PST |
I don't base guns or vehicles; I don't see the need. |

Dear 79th PA, Even Limbers with their horses team? Sometimes those are big pieces and even glued together can be fragile items. Thanks for your input |
Gone Fishing | 23 Feb 2017 8:23 a.m. PST |
It depends on the piece. If you can at all get away with it, I'd avoid basing: it's more flexible, has a smaller footprint on the table, easier to store, etc. Having said this, if there's a significant worry about breakage, I'd base 'em! |

I don't have any assembled limbers. I do have an unassembled limber and I would consider mounting it for the reason you listed. |

Base on smallest base possible |

Hi Pelo. I tend to base Limbers and teams on a sceniced base but the gun whilst still on the scenic base is left just hooked on the limber. This way I will be able to deploy the gun as I need. for example link Wagons I tend to mount on a sceniced base as I find all the harness gear a little delicate other wise. link Cheers Col |

Playing massed battle or skirmishes. For massed I base, for skirmish, not. |

Rich , It will be skirmish. Thanks |

54mm is the only scale I don't base vehicles and guns for, they are quite capable of looking after themselves at that size! |

Salty, thanks for the links !! good for the inspiration! Great stuff! |

Martin, I will probably let the guns without bases. |
