To All,

We were waiting on a few last minute confirmations and I think a few more Exhibitor/Vendors are on the fence but we are almost out of space for Cold Wars 2017 Exhibitor Hall. We have a good mix of returning and new vendors and more than a few of you will notice that a couple of vendors are combining booths (On Military Matters with Silver Eagle Wargames and Age of Glory and Eureka Miniatures USA). We are still waiting on a few more vendors and if you have a favorite vendor not on the list and you want to see them at the show, please ask them to contact me directly. Thanks everyone for your continued support of our shows and I hope to see many of you at Cold Wars 2017 in less than a month. Here are the vendors/exhibitors as of 20 FEB 2017:

Thanks for the list.

That's an impressive list. There's a part of me that says I am glad I am not going as if I were I'd probably be living in a tent or at least on a ration of canned beans for the next few months afterwards from all of the money I spent.

Thanks for posting.

I will be carrying some of Acheson Creations' line again at this show. If there is something you would like then either email me or Acheson and we will make sure I bring it.

ODGW Kenny25 Feb 2017 12:21 p.m. PST

Bob, What is your email?? Would like you to bring some Acheson Creations' line items…

Thanks

57 vendors?
Zowie!
I looked back at Fall-In's list--it was 49!
This is a good thing, right????

capncarp25 Feb 2017 8:56 p.m. PST

Oh, and Murphy, if you would be eating mostly canned beans, at least your tent would have natural gas and a constant wind blowing through it!

Evil Bobs Miniature Painting26 Feb 2017 3:13 p.m. PST

Sorry about that. Forgot to leave the email: Bob@evilbobs.biz

Though I think I already got an email from you.

RE: This is a good thing, right????

YEP! With summer weather, too!
(Maybe…)

capncarp28 Feb 2017 8:50 p.m. PST

Daribuck, the 15-day outlook for Lancaster shows daytime highs in the 50s-60s and nighttime lows in the high 30s-40s

"YEP! With summer weather, too! (Maybe…)"

Careful what you ask for…
This past weekend I had my daughter at a two-day sporting event in York, PA (30-40 minutes west on Rt. 30) and we had to shelter in place for a suspected tornado. Lancaster County may have had one touch down as well. So everybody get out your d10s and roll to miss.

With our luck, a travelling Sea-Life Circus will be impacted, and it'll be Cold Wars: A Good Day to Die as Sharknado Bait!

It's a good sturdy list. Many old stalwarts. I either know or could Google most of them, but Think of England and Vanuc LLC have me stumped. Anybody have links/info on them?

capncarp04 Mar 2017 4:37 p.m. PST

Long distance forecast shows some rain, highs in the 50s, lows in the upper 30s and 40s

Moe the Great05 Mar 2017 8:28 a.m. PST

Does anyone attending carry Lead Adventure figures?

Thanks
Moe

Disco Joe05 Mar 2017 10:25 a.m. PST

Your long distance forecast is better than mine. Mine only goes up to March 14.

TheKing3005 Mar 2017 11:04 a.m. PST

@Disco Joe – check Accuweather. They go pretty far into the future.

capncarp05 Mar 2017 2:13 p.m. PST

The Weather Channel extended forecast indicates some form of precipitation--rain, showers, snow showers, every day but Friday 3/17.
Mind you, the weather usually telescopes down a few days, so whatever is predicted currently for Monday, 3/20 may arrive Saturday, or even Thursday. Stay tuned for more exciting weather reports!

altfritz15 Mar 2017 7:38 a.m. PST

"Summer weather" Hahahaha…

altfritz15 Mar 2017 7:44 a.m. PST

"Think of England"… Tea and Scones? Bangers and Mash? Warm beer and boiled Boar? (per Asterix)

Question – is VANUC LLC supposed to be VANUS LLC, the Covert Intervention Games 20mm modern and zombie company?

CovIntGames15 Mar 2017 7:24 p.m. PST

WarGaming USA that VANUS LLC is the owning LLC of Covert Intervention Games

FYI, the Cold Wars program listed 70 vendors.

That's more than Historicon last year.

Draw your own conclusions.

vagamer6320 Mar 2017 5:41 p.m. PST

And a fairly large number of those same Vendors are also attending ADEPTICON this weekend!

If HMGS keeps the same prices for Vendor Space for Historicon when it moves back to the Host in 2018 I imagine many of the Vendors from CW and FI will not be in attendance then also!

So draw conclusions with the whole picture, not select slanted parts which support your particular point of view!

Bowman21 Mar 2017 5:05 a.m. PST

If HMGS keeps the same prices for Vendor Space for Historicon when it moves back to the Host in 2018……..

Why would they? That was to offset the increased facility cost of the FCC.

47Ronin21 Mar 2017 5:12 p.m. PST

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, Bowman, correct? No matter how much the rest of us may disagree with it.

Facts, however, are a different matter. And the fact of the matter is that the HMGS Board rejected Fredericksburg not once, but twice, for Historicon 2018: the first time when HMGS signed a deal with Somerset; the second time when the Board decided to move Historicon back to the Host when the Somerset facility was sold.

As far as Adepticon is concerned, there are some vendors who were at Cold Wars who are proceeding directly from Cold Wars to Adepticon. There are also officials from HMGS going to Adepticon to observe that convention and to issue invitations to some of the vendors there to attend future HMGS conventions, wherever those conventions may be.

Hope to see everyone at Historicon.

Yes, and as I was recommending to an HMGS official at Cold Wars, try to get Badger Airbrushes to come to Historicon or Fall-In. They usually get a booth at Adepticon, have very good convention prices for their products, and teach a bunch of courses which are usually sold out. I think this would be a good fit for our attendees.

And yes, I will see everyone at Historicon.
