Are these figures really no longer available to Joe Public?

I have a nostalgic yearning for them, Minifigs, and Dave Millward's rules.

We ceased production in 2014. I still do the odd figure for people when I'm actually casting for myself but there is a backlog of people who have already asked… I'm probably going to do some casting March or April, if I do it will be mentioned on my blog.

Can I infer from this that you might cast some figures for me, if I asked nicely?

GarrisonMiniatures20 Feb 2017 1:32 p.m. PST

Basically, if you know what you want, don't want too many, ask when I put up that I'm casting and it's doable (ie, how many others put in for figures of the ones who've already been asking)no reason why not – depends also on how much time I have and whether my aged body can cope.

One reason for saying 'keep an eye on the blog' is that it helps winnow out a few…

Cheers Garrison! … I think I know how you feel.

Capt Mackerel – Good to see your post on Garrison 25mm ECW; also your mention of your liking of 25mm Minifigs. Rob was kind enough recently to provide me with all of the 25mm ECW loose figures he could find. I was very pleased with them and they match up with my Minifigs ECW. I can strongly endorse him!

I have loved Garrison 25mm since the very early 1980's when I was able to purchase them in the U.S. although back then, I only obtained their SYW line.

I would like to find individuals who are collecting the ECW in 25mm, primarily with Minifigs and Garrison figures, who would be interested in helping each other out. In the last month or two, I have purchased many Minifig 25mm ECW unpainted. As usual, when one collects "blindly" ("I'll buy whatever you have."), one ends up with many of some figures and few of others. Trading is a great way of filling in gaps.

If you, or others, are interested, I'd enjoy hearing from you.

Again, thanks to Rob for making the Garrison ECW available to me. Hal

'I have a nostalgic yearning for them, Minifigs, and Dave Millward's rules.'

Anybody still use Tercio rules these days?

Timmo uk06 Apr 2017 11:17 a.m. PST

Tercio – no they drove me nuts – way too complex for me.

@Hal – I have some Minifigs to sell or trade. They are are fabulous castings – a cut above what you may typically expect of Minifigs. They look like they must have been cast from moulds that where in excellent condition.

I have 24 figures. 12 Puritan Standard Bearers with cast on poles and 12 Roundhead musketeers. I'm looking for some specific Minifigs myself so am open to trade.

I've sent you a Facebook friend request. However, as my name implies I am in the Uk which may make trading too expensive with postage.

I too would love to be able to get my hands on a few more Garrison figures! Over the past few months whilst building (or rather rebuilding) Hinchliffe armies of 35 years ago I found myself with several Garrison figures all of which now have a pride of place in my armies If you would care to watch my YouTube video of a few days ago (my first go with technology!) you will spot them hopefully, in fact I even made reference to how 'fantastic' the range must have been!

I'd say they are as good as anything on the market today and I would be happy to pay whatever to add more to my collection as and when you get the moulds out :)

Lee.

Thank you Whiterose & Hal Thinglum :)

Hal, I'm in the Uk I think you are US? postage costs would be an issue I think, but what do you have please?

I have contacted Rob Young who now owns the Garrison moulds and posted on this thread, with a view to be able to purchase some castings.

Fingers crossed!
