You've got a scenario map, and you need to create some hills. Is there some way to just print out the map in very large scale, so you can trace the outline of the hills you need to build? The Editor finds out...

What material do you get in the supplements? Not the army books, but campaign books like Ostfornt or Battleground Europe. Army lists, scenarios, are they worth it to you, etc? Just looking for opinions on them, I play BA every few months so I'm not a heavy player.

If you are a scenario driven player, then they are okay. If you are a tournament player, IMHO, they provide very little.

I have the Battleground Europe, D-Day through about The Bulge. It's a nice compromise between regular Bolt Action and a more historical scenario based game. You're still using equal points forces but the scenarios and extra rules and far more themed than just a pick up game. They're probably perfect for you!

Empire in Flames, for example, uses the Japanese, British, and USA books. You may get "army lists", but you don't really get force (squad) composition. You need both in tandem.

Of course, if you love potted history, Osprey porn, and some campaign and scenario ideas, you will like these books.

The scenarios in any theatre book can mostly be applied to any armies or theatres, in fact we've adjusted some for games from WW1 to Vietnam. If you're coming to a new theatre and forces from scratch then the books are definitely a good starting point and it's very easy to tweak more history into Bolt Action.
