Are there now enough choices available to do this in 1/72 scales with a lot of conversions? |

Not even sure you would need to do that much converting. Depends how picky you are about your French I suppose… Early Spanish available in abundance – even some Portuguese now – others are are a fairly simple paint job. I always take the view that they are toy soldiers and are representing certain units – they don't really need to have the exact number of cuff buttons etc if they are passable at a distance… There are also ranges in white metal available… |

HAT has both French and British infantry and artillery. The only shortage I know of is British light cavalry. For them you would only need head swaps in less you could live with shakos which were worn later on in the peninsula. Portuguese and Spanish infantry are also available. Cavalry and Artillery can be approximated by using figures from on countries. I'm currently working on this project myself. |

Strelets do British light dragoons (for Egypt). |
