Evening all,

A short show off post to end the weekend with these Perry Miniatures Queens Rangers Hussars.

A nice small unit of 6 AWI Loyalist Cavalry to add to the collection.

I found quite a bit of variation regarding the facings on these so I went for plain black with no piping, I also couldn't find any pics of the rear of the uniform so again went for plain black turn backs. Does anyone know the story really the facings ?

Nice Ken.

Nicely done.

Unfortunately, whenever I see these figures I recall the nasty little anal sphincter who sold me the command pack on eBay, after he had removed the sergeant and replaced him with a second trumpeter, carefully hidden under the horses (especially annoying as the real QRs only had one trumpeter).

How many were there in Real Life? 30?
I only have 2 Hinchliffe ones. Oddly for their AWI cavalry, not really that good.
Now that I've seen yours, I'm going to have to get those two packs of Perry figures. And that is far too many figures for any rational figure scale. grin
But when I'm doing TSATF that's just enough.

There were 54 in the Southern campaign; and a similar number of light dragoons – quite a nice force, especially when you combine it with the 190 BL dragoons and the 25ish 17th LD.

Using British Grenadier rules the figure scale can vary for some smaller scenarios so 6 Figs is good for 1:10.

Plus Perrys sell 2 packs of 3 figures, one of each is 6 figures, that's proper historical accuracy that, basing your unit size on the number of actual figures avaliable ;-)

Cheers for the comments guys and a pox on the guy who stiffed you with a double trumpeter, Supercilious

Nice work. I too finished my Perry's that were in thelead pile. I started with the infantry and than did the cav. I did the same for the facing, black. But I stole it from the Perry's painted picture :)
