… Fate of Jar Jar Binks!!!!!!!!!!! "Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace will be remembered for a number of infamous things: midi-chlorians, racism, and uninspired acting, among them. But there's one face (and voice) that comes to mind when conjuring up the worst of the worst that the first (cinematically speaking) Star Wars film has to offer: Jar Jar Binks. This goofy Gungan klutz stumbled his way into the Skywalker Saga, becoming a military officer and ill-advised politician along the way. Binks not only drew criticism and outright hatred from fans of the Star Wars universe in our world, he also became the whipping boy (tadpole?) for rebels everywhere, having inadvertently granted Senator Palpatine emergency powers, powers he would go on to use to become the Emperor. Binks has redeemed himself somewhat over the years thanks to his role in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but his part as a political player was vastly diminished in the prequel trilogy and abandoned altogether in other media, such as the animated LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales, in which he's found floating through the vacuum of space outside the Death Star… More here

I was away but I'm back and I already knew about this book and I DON'T think it's a sad ending for Jar Jar Binks and he lasted longer that all of the Jar Jar haters thought he would. Yep. He's doing what Lucas intended – entertaining the 6 year olds. And leaving the space adventuring to the people with some talent for it. Not the worst fate. |

Captain Gideon, I too wish that Goldenrod was blown to bits. I hate him almost as much as Jar Jar Binks and the Ewoks. I hate the Ewoks more than Jar Jar, and I've been dealing with that frustration since 1983. |

BLACKSTAR I've hated that gold plated droid from the first movie to the 7th movie and the gold butler has been my worst SW character whereas Jar Jar is my all time favorite SW character. |

I have my reasons for liking Jar Jar Binks and those reasons are my own I only tell people who can understand those reasons and you don't need to know. And it's the same for me with C3PO and why I hate that character. |

Barring any on-screen evidence to the contrary, I always wondered if the Gungans were hermaphrodites seeing as how they are (alien) amphibians. Guess that wouldn't make them 'girls' but at least gender-fluid. For that matter, could apply to Mon Calamari as well – although they have two genders in several of the novels and comics. |
