Did you buy them? Have you painted and played with them? What do you do for your period appropriate architecture? And this board needed a new thread! |

I bought them and painted a few. Now I am a big Blue Moon fan and own several of their ranges, always satisfied. But to be honest, these just didn't do it for me. They all seem so thick and stocky. The sculptor seems different than most of their other ranges but I could be wrong. I ended up dropping the project. I did already have a fully painted set of 28mm Redoubt ones which we have long gamed with. As for architecture, yeah that was and still is an issue. For a tavern fight scenario once I just drew up a blueprint on tagboard and we fought on that. Good luck on your project though. |

Did you check out the LAF posting by Deano of the Blue Moon 18mm musketeers that is now about a quarter of the way down page three on Pikes, Muskets & Flouncy Shirts? It is beautiful work and well worth looking at. I have the Blue Moon 18mm musketeers but haven't painted them yet. For a village I'll be using the French village I used in my Bocage '44 Gallery. The pictures and write-up can be seen at link |

The link is acting up but if you click on The Bocage '44 listing to the left it will take you to the pictures I mentioned above… sorry for the difficulty. |

I have them but have not painted them. They are fantastic figures with great detail. Any 30 years war period buildings would work or ECW. |

Mr. Dean's work is truly extraordinary – in any scale. If only he will sent me his painted work and I'll send him my unpainted pieces so he can try and do a better job next time around! ; ) |

EMW I concur, great idea. I have the whole set unpainted. |

If for no other reason to get something swashbuckly back to the top of this page. A double pox on Tango and the bug for leaving something so absurd at the top of this page! Funny as the cat planes may be. ! |
