As someone who wears braces I have two observations:

That is going to be awfully uncomfortable for the girl.

Secondly, the braces are not going to stay in that position after the first step without some sort of glue – braces are either a 'Y' or 'X' shape and the front section hangs straight between the clip on point at the waist and the shoulder by the shortest possible route.
