Can anyone recommend some decent books that also deal with the French contributions at The Somme? I'm looking for something that I can use for inspiration and seeds for gaming scenarios. Thanks! |

What level of gaming scenarios are you thinking of? Skirmish? Platoon? Company? etc. The likes of Philpott is for high level actions – not lower than a corps but more like an army or army group. Robert |

Maneuver element would be company or battalion (using 10mm), so I'd have someplace between a brigade to a division each on the table at the maximum. Thanks! |
