Splendid! Love that book.

Agree that the consequences of running (and galloping to a lesser extent) seem severe at first glance.

Always thought it was to hammer home the idea that simple tasks become difficult when someone is trying to kill you.

Running is best used as a means to run from danger, or into cover, as opposed to closing with the enemy. For that one needs a much more measured step.

Or something like that :)
