Hi guys, I was wondering if there's a specific day of the year that is considered to be a general miniature gaming day holiday? Like we have Free RPG Day on Saturday June 17th this year. And International Tabletop Day on Saturday April 29th this year. Is there an annual day for miniature gaming? |

03/04: March Forth! Back in '72/73, my 8th grade teacher was a former active Marine. He often joke that "March 4th is the most commanding day of the year." Sounds like that would be appropriate. |

Hmm. The date of the Cannonade of Sandgate does not appear to be known. If there is no date in general use, may I propose either 21 September--the birthday of H. G. Wells--or 20 March--the birthday of Donald Featherstone? Probably to be celebrated on the nearest weekend, of course. Every Miniature Warfare Day, the Oldest Wargamer is to read a short Declaration of Miniature War--probably from Little Wars--and to cut a cake decorated with miniature soldiers, terrain or dice which must be used in a subsequent game. Then afterward, we try to palm off some of our unpainted lead on the youngest player by telling him it's Free Miniatures Day. I say go for 20 March! We can celebrate at Cold Wars this year. |

March 20 sounds ideal Naval wargamers will have their additional smaller event on 6th August (Fred Janes' birthday) :) |

No, if its going to be a birthday, it has to be Jack Scruby! Otherwise, there might be a war. : ) I got tickled by March 4th – just need to make sure it always falls on a weekend. No matter how many Saturdays need to be added to the week to make it work. |

Does anyone even know Jack Scruby's birthday? All wikipedia has is a year of birth. |

Gotta go June 6th. Always seem to be involved in a game around D-Day. |
