Does anyone play skirmish games in 18th century using individually-based figures? I have a large 15mm collection for standard battle games, as well as a ton of MBA renaissance/medieval buildings for fantasy and medieval skirmish gaming, and have begun to wonder whether people playing with 28mm SYW figures do this level of skirmish. |

I am not talking about North American conflicts in this period, btw, but European. |

All the time. I do not stand base any of my figures but do have movement trays to speed up movement. Bob |

Oh, yes. Talk to the Seven Years War Association. For myself, I get about half-way there: I'll use big individually-mounted castings and play Charge! or something along those lines, then switch to smaller scales to do the bigger battles of the period. |

Way back in the mists of time, Foundry published a free set for continental 7YW skirmish rules. If fact, it was the forerunner of the "Rules with No Name" set. I lost my copy but someone may still have a set floating around. |

Some people do the main event in Europe but I have to admit that all my SYW skirmish games are set in North America |

Is nothing sacred? Still, given I don't believe in the big fairy in the sky, what is? You go right ahead and don't mind me….pitchfork, torch, scaffold pieces, Tom is bringing the rope………………. |
